Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Update Version 1.5 June 2008 This is an official update for Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars. This patch will update any previous version of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars to version 1.5. It is recommended for all users. New Workarounds: New workaround involving switching between windowed mode and full screen - This only occurs if the window is big enough to go off the edge of the player's screen. There is a workaround that lets the user get back to fullscree 1. In the game, set the resolution to something small enough that the entire game window fits on your screen. 800x600 is a safe bet. 2. Quit the game then restart it. 3. Switch to fullscreen mode. 4. Switch to whatever resolution you want. Functionality: The Mac dashboard will appear whenever the mouse wheel is selected. - The user can change their Dashboard preferences to disable the middle mouse button bringing up the dashboard. Mac-Only 1.5 changes: Fixed an issue with missing server launcher page tabs Fixed crash when clicking on server launcher pull down menu Fixed a crash during spectator mode on Valley map
Because doing just one release is incredibly boring, we've also got the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars 1.5 BETA files for you today. More information on the 1.5 BETA is available in this dev blog update. Please note that this is release is completely unsupported and you're installing it at your own risk. We've also put up a new forum for 1.5 Bugs and Issues, so please post anything you come across there.
Good news: There's light at the end of the license tunnel! We've at last received the proper license files for both the Competition Mod and the 1.5 game update. With that in mind, we're now prepping them for release and hope to get them out as soon as possible (for real!). Since we want to make sure that both releases are as solid as can be, we've decided to run public beta phases for them - this will allow us to iron out any remaining stability issues and also make sure that the backend infrastructure is working properly. Both of these are the most difficult things to test for and since we've had a few issues crop up in 1.4 that didn't surface during our testing, we feel that a public beta phase is in the best interest of the game and the players. Read on for more information on the two upcoming Beta releases and for the preliminary 1.5 changelog.
